  screen flashes green and you have to shut down the computer and set hotkeys down

  Its good as long as you don't get a stupid green flashing screen.

  The screen will constantly flash insanely only if you decide to close the "Flashing" application before stopping the recording. Do so will naturally necessitate a restart, so don't close it! Just use it the right way and don't say, "Hey, what's this flashing application here? I'll close it...." Bad idea. Continue with the tutorial, stop, and flashing is gone. Learn the program! It's free!
