There are no pros. The software Cam Guard security Home Edition has the Artemis trojan embeded in it and ready to infect your system and allow viewing access to the host
Once again...The Installation and setup for the security software installs the Artemis Trojan (It seems to install several different variants according to McAfee's Stinger)This 'Could" allow some person of bad intent to gain access to the images gathered by your "Security" camera.
I'm preparing to litigate. I suggest anyone who has this software installed to obtain the latest version of McAfee's "Stinger" Malware removal software and run it. do a full scan with heuristics set to high.
very easy to use once locating their download server for over the web monitoring software options http://www.zzzsoft.com/en/camguard_down.asp
could have contact info for support there's none-- not even the email works
use only 2.4 ghz Hopping surveillance system if you use the motion detection option or many unnecessary recordings will occur from wireless interferences
Clean interface, easy to use straight out of the box, alarm function works well if a little slow sometimes, emails two pictues whenever an alarm is triggered
GUI cannot be re-sized, preview area is very small, help system is less than helpful most of it is just nonsense, does not record sound,
Overall not a bad product, mostly does what it says, however with a bit of development it has the potential to be good
Calls you on your cell phone to alert you of intrusion!
There is nothing I do not like!
I like the product very much. Have been looking for a product that would notify you on one's cell phone if there was an intruder, this product does just that without fail!
The picture "frame" around the camera pix works out just great!
Recommend to all who wants cell phone notification!
There are none
It is a money rip off and does not come close to offer what it promises. Plus you cant get your money back/
I liked everything about program.
Having to create the account.
stable, it will auto run and begin recording if the PC is reset. Reliable. it is a cheap monitor system with webcam.
It was easy to figure out how to use. There isn't a lot of options, but there seems to be everything you need. It's not cluttered or hard to find anything. And it was just what I needed.
could have been made a little more functional
Its Have Alot Of great functions On It. Like The Things It can Do is great.
But Its Hard to use you have to be there for hours trying to troubleshoot it or learn What you doing. I was really going to Buy the software But Thanks to Cnet Reviews I saved Money And a waste of time.
Interface is relatively easy to use. Streaming video looks decent on computer of origin.
Don't even try to use the help area. It is written in jibberish english which often doesn't make any sense, or gives only a very superficial explanation. It does not provide any useful problem solving explanations. Some of the menu items show up in chinese text. Online video streaming is poor, IF... it works at all. E-mailed the publisher several times for tech support after having payed for the software, but they ignored me. E-mailed Qwerks (the distributor) for help. They ignored me as well. Don't bother with this... A waste of money.
