Version: CallingID for the Internet 1.6.0.1
Pros: Free. It does what it promises. Street addresses baby, yea! It comforts me, ya know what i mean? Get this because its the next hot thing on CNET.com.
Cons: The fact that it uses toolbar space, which reduces my viewable website space. It should work 'invisibly' and show information only on demand. For example, 'hotkey', or function key, etc.

Version: CallingID for the Internet 1.5.0.70
Pros: First off I was impressed that it installed itself on both Firefox and IE. Next, I was impressed by simple tool bar interface making me feel like I was immediately surfing, safer. This program will make your browsing more secure by telling you the address of the webpage and whether or not it is safe to visit.
Cons: I have seen similar products like this, but nothing as complete as this. And the fact that it is free gets my stamp of approval

"great safe browsing toolbar/best available"
Pros: small toolbar that gives you guidance on the safety of web sites with easy to understand green, yellow and red indicators. by simply moving the cursor over the toolbar, it will tell the site owner, address, and where the server is located-the same is true for web searches; while nothing is foolproof, this looks like the best safe browsing toolbar in the market today; also when installed, callingid will work with both internet explorer and firefox; i have it side by side with trustwatch toolbar just to have two opinions
Cons: none

"If you have teens, GET IT!!!"
Pros: Get this especially if you have kids & teens who browse over the internet & My Space! Out of all the security browsers I've tried, this gets 5 stars and I rarely give out 5 stars for any products. Unlike Linkscanner, Netcraft ToolBar and others I've tried, CallerID didn't interfere with my browsing or "have to shut down, error" windows, bothersome updates, etc. It doesn't slow down our computers, it's lite and downloads fast. It's very easy for kids to use and SEE when teaching them how to browse safely. I secure and monitor a lot of computers for friends and family and this works good for everyone. On My Space you'll no longer have to worry about putting your passwords on counterfeit or phishing sites. It'll let you know if the site owner may not be who they claim to be and also color coded to get your attention. I use this w/ McAfee Site Advisor & Trend Micro PC-cillian Security Suite which also includes browser security.
Cons: Their logo is kind of huge up there on my tool bar, lol but the kids can spot it easily and that's what matters! They see anything other then "green" they know they better get off that page & out of that site quick before I come by!

"Good addition to your overall security"
Pros: Sits unobrusively in your toolbar until a loud noise and a red visual indication says site owner hides identity. Then be wary of that site unless you "know" it's safe.
Cons: When first going to banking sites, it can take a few minutes to verify that the site is safe. (After all it is putting the site through 54 tests of authenticity.) I 'd like to know what those tests are, but if it works, who cares?
