Summary
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 Plus & unbelievably it can't read .mobi or .azw which is the Amazon format. Amazon have the most books at the best price & Calibre is a great program for converting them to epub or pdf. Unfortunately, some Amazon books, even cheap ones are DRM protected & Calibre can't handle that. So I'm stuck with reading Amazon DRM books on my PC. I can't find out how to tell which Amazon books are DRM protected so I will probably close my subscription to Amazon.
I'm used to Microsoft programs where you add & run a program to do what you want to do. The only way I could put a reader on the Samsung tablet that could read .azw was to install the Kindle app on the tablet. I did this by searching "kindle reader" in Google on the tablet then downloaded the Amazon free app to the tablet. It works fine & I can read DRM material that I had previously downloaded to my PC.
