    Version: Calendarscope 2.1

    "Top of the line"

by zridling on May 22, 2005

Pros: Calendarscope takes any calendar scheduling program and cuts the fat, for when you are creating and working with your schedule, it should not be rocket science. Calendarscope doesn't pretend to be a PIM, and that's a good thing. Most PIM software is just awful and cluttered, but with Calendarscope's straightforward user interface, creating and altering your schedule is a breeze. Calendarscope is what Microsoft Outlook's calendar feature should be. Its simplicity and full array of truly intuitive keyboard shortcuts allow you to work with what's on your mind rather than trying to remember the 71 options of a given feature. Its print abilities really show its power, which can be used to generate schedules for meetings, entire departments, or for employees who require calendars in their work, such as teachers and activity directors. Reasonably customizable, Calendarscope fills a niche with a grace that belies its simplicity.

Cons: Unable to add events directly in calendar, must use a dialog like virtually all other calendar apps.

"Best product which can do 7-day week planning/timetable"

by PCCW on May 17, 2006

Pros: I have tried it and then bought it. This is the only one which can do 7-day week. It is a powerful software and after you bought it, they will inform you new version by e-mail if there is any - New version updates within a year is free, I was told. Also, their support is good, even during the trial period. The price is also fair for such a software - don't you think so?

Cons: Yes, a small requirement for myself personally, but it can be overlooked - not a big deal. I believe they might work it out or add it in their next version.

    "Simple and powerfull personal calendaring"

by nyjet on December 20, 2005

Pros: Simple like Google! Alternative to many PIMs including Microsoft Outlook.Sync with PALM and PDA. Year View. Event list. Customizable event icons and assosiated events. Simple filtering. Small in memory and downloads.

Cons: No email. No group calendaring. Only one calendar. Old type of GUI and icons and buttons. Only e-mail support. Calendar taskpad is complicated and not usefull. Not for project task management.

    "The best of the best"

Pros: I have been using this software for about 5 years. Easy to use - never crashes - simply the best and I have tried a bunch of them.

"Great program, but truncated trial period"

by adenostoma on January 12, 2006

    Pros: -Easy to use

-color coded "item types" for calendar entries

    -customization of "item types"

-similar to outlook calendar with more features for entries

    Cons: -no contact list/address book

-False advertising of trial period- When I downloaded and installed the trial version, I was supposed to have a one-month trial. The program even added the date as an entry in the calendar. After about one week of use (three weeks before the trial should have ended) the program stopped running and notified me that my trial period had ended. I had planned to buy the software already, but they don't give you a warning of how many days left. I now have to wait (up to 48 hours according to the order page) for an activation code with no calendar in the mean time. If I didn't like the program so much, this would have caused me to NOT buy it!

"A simple and powerful program for daily scheduling..."

by pagodas on August 11, 2005

Pros: Calendarscope is very easy to use. It has all you need to make your daily schedule. You can customize the way it looks and also you can customize the way the print-out looks.

Cons: The way you save the daily schedule is a little confusing because the menu contains, archive, backup etc. but not save. It would be easier if it had a save button instead of the above.

    "Good Outlook alternative"

    by One-Eared Gundark on March 8, 2005

Pros: I was looking for a personal scheduler for home use to replace Outlook, as Outlook is overkill for home use. Calendarscope is as powerful as MS Outlook when it comes to personal scheduling. I really like the ability to share calendars over my home network. Outlook couldn't do that without spending big $$$ for Exchange server. Program is small and quick. Free trial from manufacturer. Good price. Calendarscope is the best sub-$100 calendar out there that I've tried.

Cons: If there was integration with email, this package would kill Outlook. On the other hand, for only $30, this program cannot be beat.

"A Most Excellent Tool in My Humble Opinion"

    by star-navigator on February 7, 2005

Pros: Like many others I use this tool frequently. I'm currentluy using Calendarscope 2.2 and I can honestly say I'd wouldn't be able to keep track of what I'm doing all day without it. Great product and well worth the money.

    "The Best Simple Organizer"

    by gr8stock on February 19, 2006

Pros: It is simple and small to run in the background without taking your computer power. I have Palm organizer. However, for security reasons, it is not running all the time. So reminders would not work if Palm software is not running. Thats why Calendarscope is so great. I can keep confidential information on Palm out of reach, but have reminders and other info available.

With add-on software for $15 you can sinc it with Palm.

    Thanks for Great Product

    Cons: Cannot find any
