"Some problems but a wonderful program"
Version: CalendarMaker 5.0.4
Pros
Flexibility, colour and picture manipulation
Cons
It is too easy to accidentally change settings without even meaning to.
Summary
I love Calendar Maker because I have used it for years in its various incarnations and it allows so much to be done-messages in a variety of fonts and positions, pictures added either within days or over days, great colour manipulation and changing of the shape and colour of the grid for the month. It has wonderful choices to make stunning calendars but this year, 2011, I am really struggling on my Mac. The program is constantly quitting, defaulting to selections which change the whole calendar without me realising so that I save the changes . I find the inspector quite hard to use but have finally worked it out pretty well. I can't seem to cut and paste pictures as I could in the past. Every time I paste a picture, the whole program freezes or quits. Now I can't print-it refuses. I am also having trouble getting the page size right. I didn't have these problems last year but we are now using Mac OSX 10.6.4. Perhaps that is the reason. Can anyone help me as I have created a beautiful calendar full of useful information and pictures but I can't print it.

"Over-priced"
Version: CalendarMaker 5.0
Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Metis International has Desktop Calendar Pro, which does essentially the same thing for a lower price. Likewise, if you have Printshop or Print Explosion, you can do the same kinds of calendars. I have the old version of CalendarMaker, the last released for OS 9, and it works fine in the Classic OS environment. Version 5.0 for OS X really doesn't seem to be such a great improvement, at least not one that merits the nearly $60 price tag.
