"Great Calculator But Wish Its Financial Functions Were Better"
Pros: After using their free version for years, I finally broke down and bought the $12 premium version (Version 5.66), which is better. Its menus are better organized, it offers more data and features, and I still will never use everything it offers. But it is configurable as an RPN calculator and works among the best in that mode. Especially at either price - free or $12.
Cons: I wish the authors would take a look at some of the other easy to use financial calculators and draw inspiration from them. While I would love to have Calc98 be the only calculator I need, its financial functions, though improved, are simply not very intuitive in their layout and use. The authors should not be afraid to completely change their screen layout when switching to financial mode to permit interest rate entry, loan terms, etc. in their proper fields right when the switch is made to financial mode.
