A good tool to type in Devanagari - both online and offline
It has some problems in typing ? related combined characters especially if it is the first letter of a sentence. Except this de-merit everything else is fine.
It has some problems in typing ? related combined characters especially if it is the first letter of a sentence. Except this de-merit everything else is fine. (Work around is to type some letter, then the combined Sa and then delete the first typed letter). Since I wanted a good tool to type in unicode using Inscript keyboard, especially while using google docs, I found this tool very useful.
I do not know what is this Publicsoft India company. By Public soft it looks like some open source group, but I could not get any reference of what it is.
But it is for sure they are making fool of janta(Public).
First, do you really need any software to type Hindi?
kaulonline [dot] com/uninagari/
This place which gives you the complete thing, which this software claims to give.
There is no need to download anything, if you wish to use it offline just save this page on your computer as html file from your browser. May be this tool is from an individual and does not have any marketing backup, it is unknown.
After using café it looked as if it is using the same technology at some places, but Café Hindi does not match this tool in any form.
What is this review? A clear display of ill-will sponsored by kaulonline? If the user was ignorant it would have been acceptable, but clearly this guy is abusive.
Cafe Hindi Unicode Typing Tool is a freeware developed by PublicSoft India (There's no need for the writer of the review to know us, but surely more people know the company than kaulonline) to type Unicode hindi in any application.
You can type in Hindi in MS word, or wordpad, or notepad, or in your web browser. This is infinitely more convenient then going to some website and typing out text, and then copying into your target application.
Secondly, if somebody needed type online, they could do so using the tools from Google (heard of this company Mr. hindiaddict?)
Again, the user is recommending kaunonline over google's online tools, and other major online tools.
The abusive review above seems written by an enemy of kaulonline. They wouldn't want to portray themselves in such poor light.
