Version: CableNut 4.08
Pros: It has a very very full set of options for a free programme. It has a good selection of presets for different connections.
Cons: I didn't actually notice any major improvement to my connection. I have a pretty good 1MB DSL anyway so it probably couldn't be tweaked much more in it's current state but really nothing noticable at all occured from the change. The product is probably used to it's full potential only by experts in this field (which I am not - afraid I'm all front end and aesthetics in the computer world).

"Great!! This good I'll tell you why"
Pros: Not Knowing a lot about TCP/IP parameter setup except that Ballpark aint close enough, I have used quite a few different approches at speeding up my dialup connection. Tweakmaster, TZ Boost etc., And they helped a lot. When I downloaded this one I figured it would be the same story, all Wizard bells and whistles and not learn what I am actually tweaking. WRONG! This program shows me everything and allows tweaking of all parameters available. So used in conjunction with another application (TZ connection Booster) I think I have now Maxed out my Dialup connection It's absolutely AMAZING the speed I am up to. BRAVO Cablenut.

"install and uninstall yet again"
Pros: for all the positive feedback,it doesnt work really,the only free tweaking software that work is DFUe tweaker which u can find at majorgeeks.com,i used it on my broadband and i could still see a difference compare to all the other software

"I was AMAZED, and that's very unusual for me."
Pros: Old time computer user here... Have used download.com for years and never taken the time to submit a review. ( I know, shame on me). Anyway, as hard as it may be to believe, this thing virtually DOUBLED my download cable speed. From 1.6 megs to 3 megs... I'm impressed ! BTW, I use Win XP Pro, so forget that guy that said CableNut didn't work on this platform... He's incorrect.
