Windows does not have package management systems like apt, yum.
Recently, most applications provide self-update function.
For all those who have thousand of applications, it is not easy to keep everything up to date because self-update function does not work until the application runs.
CNET TechTracker scans most of the applications installed in your system at one time in a relatively short time. I know that FileHippo.com Update Checker also provides a similar function. But TechTracker can detect far more numbers of applications.
It doesn't work for my PC for the past over half a year.
CNET does not seem to fix the problem or does not recognize the problem.
