    "Often says software needs updates when it does not."

    Pros

    Found a lot of outdated software on my Mac and downloaded the updates more conveniently than going to all the web sites.

    Cons

    - Often installed programs in the wrong place or said update was needed when the advertised version was already installed.
    - Keeps asking you to review anything you have updated, long before you have a chance to try the new version.

    Summary

    Can be useful, but not nearly as clever as it should be.
