"Good program"
Version: CNET Bandwidth Meter
Pros
I have Windows7 set up with multiple user accounts and this little meter collects and reports on each user, as well as reporting the total for all users. I like the tabbed breakdowns: hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and I like that in the "At a Glance" it lists each user by name and gives today, this week, this month and this year usage totals. Seems to be a very sweet little program.
Cons
One little fluke is that all users--except the first person to log in for the day--gets an error message that reads: "Error in multisuer sync module initialization: System Error. Code:5 Access is denied." This appears even though the user is not trying to access the meter, but the meter does run in the system tray. I don't know what the error means, but it doesn't seem to be affecting the meter.
Summary
It's a good program overall.

"Every Tester Different"
Version: CNET Bandwidth Meter
Pros
Would be nice if i could trust it
Cons
way off from other testers
Summary
It seems to show far slower than all other testers. Even Cnets online test can shows my bandwith to be twice as fast as the widget shows. In one test Speedtest.com shows my speed @ 8.16 Mbs - Cnet Online Test = 2738.3 kbps (2.67 Mbs) - Cnet Widget = 1637 kbps (1.60 Mbs ). If the Cnet testers are right I'm being ripped of by Comcast!

"Quick readout is great"
Version: CNET Bandwidth Meter
Pros
Nice easy to see dial indicator.
Fairly accurateCons
Like many speed meters this on only gives you the total bandwidth.
No indication of the upload speed vs the download speed.Summary
Good for a quick band width but for a more accurate meter I still prefer the meter at
ABeltronica.com which tests both the upload and the download speed. -
"Can't log in, so only rating is "terrible.""
Version: CNET Bandwidth Meter
Pros
No pros 'cause I can't load the download page. Error on page.
Cons
Can't download the product, so it doesn't work. That's about the worst con (and I do mean "con") that one can have. I will get rid of Yahoo Widgets as I do not need something else running in the background.
