"Unstable Software and Bad Support"
Version: CMailServer 5.2.2
Pros
Its price is cheap ...!!
Cons
The folk who makes this mail server has strange and impolite behavior, when I installed this software and I was in the trial period I faced a problem that there was conflict in the SMPT port with Default SMTP virtual Server, which can be installed from the windows CD, I sent an email to CMailServer reporting this problem and saying that I was tending to purchase this software, they replied to me in the next day...In that way I decided to purchase this product..but after 1 month and half, I faced a problem that when I made the outlook to leave the messages on the server for two days, something very strange started to show up, the emails with "no sender" are displayed, the user can’t delete the emails, web tools it is buggy, I sent an email with my order ID asking about this since 8 months, but they didn't answer me yet. The only solution to this was to delete the account -but be careful you need to write down all the configurations for this account-, I faced some issues that related to mail relay and I sent an email with my Order ID, but they ignored me for the second time. At the end, my manager asked me to replace this software with a new one from different company.
Here are the bad things I faced in this software:
1-Bad support.
2-Miserable documentation, you need to read other software’s’ documentation and spend hours in searching the net to solve your issues by yourself.
3-Unstable Behaviors.
4-Every time you make any changes (like adding an account, changing password ... etc), you need to restart the CMailServer service.
5-you will get a lot of complains from your organization’s employees every day and you may need to come back to the office during the weekend.
Here is the only good thing for this software:
The bottom line, because the mail service is very critical for every company and losing mails leads unsatisfied clients, which means losing money. My humble advice is to pay 400$+ for another decent software and save a lot working hours
