"Very Solid Comic Reader - For when you want it simple."
Version: CDisplay Image Display 1.8.1.0
Pros
Quick loading, simple interface. Uncluttered and easy to create the viewing conditions that you like best. Low CPU usage makes it particularly useful for your older XP machine that you may use on your network at home.
Cons
Not comprehensive. Some may find it clunky. Although clunky does not mean that the reading experience is poorer because of it.
Summary
I'v used a range of comic viewers and although there are many features on other readers that i enjoy but that CDisplay doesn't have, It is always the first comic reader I turn to. Works on the most basic of platforms and the ease makes it a great starting point for any user.

"A good, solid multi-image JPEG reader"
Version: CDisplay Image Display 1.8.1.0
Pros
It's the cleanest, most elegant of the comic book readers--whoops, did I say that?--I mean, multi-layer JPEG display utilities out there.
Cons
The only con is the image viewing options are clunky. Best way is to go to a right-click menu and then fumble around with check-boxes. You can hot-key, but often I find myself going to the menu to remember the darn key, and then at that point I might well click the check-box.
Summary
CDisplay EX is the open source version, and I hope there will be an upgrade path for that. As it is, the original CDisplay is a great utility.

"Great Comic Reader"
Version: CDisplay Image Display 1.8.1.0
Pros
Easy to use, Simple controls, and Reliable.
Cons
Does not auto scale many comics. Large screens are fine, but does not scale down comics, user must scroll or manually re-size.
Summary
Great. Use it all the time to read downloaded comics in CBR format.

"One more app that I really don't need"
Version: CDisplay Image Display 1.8.1.0
Pros
Browses CBR and CBZ files.
Cons
Windows XP(SP2) and later already has the ability to do what this program offers.
Summary
CBR and CBZ files are nothing more than a renamed ZIP file. Simply by renaming the file, Windows can browse the files sequentially using the Windows Photo Gallery app just as well.

Cursor is a small black dot that is difficult to perceive
