I have to put CDBurnerXP Pro at the top of the list for free burning software, and
I tried alot of them.

It takes a little thinking but it works just fine for me.

I got every kind of error. As soon as I solved one, another pops up that I can't solve. I got "Disk not blank", "no media inserted" etc. I tried all the fixes. I downloaded the latest version, and it won't install without ".NET framework" from microsoft. I've really tried hard to use this software and now I'm looking elsewhere.

Fast, no nag screens, no spyware, just a great CD burner Plus it rips audio CDs too. can convert nero images to iso.
Cons
Only shows DVD features when a DVD burner is detected. Save as ISO feature is buried in the menus, while normal buring features all have buttons. it would be nice if you could make dvd isos without having a dvd burner installed, but oh well.

burned disc, error appears "could not close disc"...no other problems with other programs...lost 2 blank discs because of inability to close...again: GARBAGE!

If you are not a professional CDBurner(you use it at home,etc,simple works)its very useful and practical.Very simple,easy usage..Nice graphics
Cons
Some bugs,sometimes it freezes and wants to send report.And install requires restart.
