"Problematic in Lion; then, even worse after upgrade."
Version: CD Spin Doctor 6.1.2
Pros
Useful for converting LPs to digital.
Cons
Wave lines are virtually worthless for precise editing. Color and design outweighs function. Has no timer for setting recording made away from home on different days. Program does what it says it can do about 50% of the time (it's betrayed me numerous times when sending a file to iTunes that later proved unplayable or unedited). Roxio support is as cosmetic as their product.
Summary
Worth keeping an eye on but not purchasing until the company becomes serious about functionality and quality control. Recently, the program repeatedly produced DSSCoreAudio obstacle whenever I tried to use it. After download, it produced nothing. Wouldn't even open.

"A piece of rubbish!"
Version: CD Spin Doctor 6.1.2
Pros
Little to find good when it is so hopeless!
Cons
I updated to Toast 11 Titanium from my existing Toast 10 Titanium mainly to get an up to date version of Spin Doctor and because I foolishly believed the advertising hype that has been sent to
me for months that Toast 11 would be better, and that "Roxio Toast 11 with Spin Doctor makes it easy to recapture old favourites".
Spin Doctor X is a disgraceful product.
It is so full of bugs and inconsistencies that I am quite amazed that a company like Roxio would even think of releasing it in such an unfinished form.
Spin Doctor X crashes, but worse than that, I found after three attempts at defining tracks that track names don't stick, there is no way of saving the file after each change to avoid losing data, menus just migrate over the screen and other issues.
I have also discovered, after moving to Mac OS X Lion in the last day, that CD Spin Doctor in Toast 10 works.
So why would I want to upgrade to a product that fails so miserably?
Very unhappy.Summary
Unfortunately this software in included in the Toast 11 Titanium download or CD. If you still have Toast 10 don't trash it. You can still use CD Spin Doctor in Lion.

"crashes repeatedly but between crashes works ok"
Version: CD Spin Doctor 6.1.2

"Nothing simple about this and very buggy."
Version: CD Spin Doctor 6.1.2
Pros
Can't think of any.
Cons
Crashes repeatedly on my iMAC. Plus you cannot actually create a CD with CD Spin Doctor, you have to spend another $50 for Toast. Wasted several hours recording music before discovering this. Tech support is poor.
Summary
Will be asking for a refund.

"Don't bet on it working!"
Version: CD Spin Doctor 6.1.2
Pros
it's great when it works. which is rarely!
Cons
tried to get CDSD 6.0 to work on snow-leopard. only available update online was 6.1.1-doesn't work. many emails with roxio 'techsupport,' they finally gave up and refunded my money. check roxio support forums - MANY people having trouble with CDSD.
Summary
roxio apparently doesn't want to support this product independent of toast. question is - do you want to support their bottom line by buying their buggy software?
