"A great add on for CCleaner"

Pros
CC Enhancer adds a lot more options to your regular ccleaner program, there is a lot of files added to ccleaner that can be scanned and cleaned, but before you do delete a file that you never heard of make sure you google the file to see what it does, you don't want to delete something you need

It would be nice to have more info on the new files that you now get to clean with the ccleaner enhancer

over all a good add-on used a few times now worth a go ull porb like using it, just be very CARE FULL of what you are asking it to wipe as some left over items are needed to be left but most can be got rid off.

This new version is adding files to my desktop.
Summary
I have CCEnhancer executable on my desktop. The problem is it's creating two files on my desktop every time I run the program. The files are winapp2 and cc_config. The older 2.5.1 version did not create these files on my desktop. Plus the older version would automatically close once CCleaner loaded. This version does not. I'm sticking to the older version for now. Are these bugs in this new version or does anyone have an idea what's causing this and how to correct it? OS: Win 7 Ultimate 64bit SP1
I contacted the developer about these issues. It seems this is normal behavior for this newest version which means I'll be sticking with the older 2.5.1 version myself. Here is a copy of that forum thread from Shane Gowland: This is all the expected behaviour. cc_config.ini stores the program settings and language preferences. winapp2.ini is the file that CCEnhancer downloads to apply rules to CCleaner.

The program no longer closes because many users found that behaviour annoying.
You can continue to use the old versions. As long as you're using CCEnhancer 1.5.1 or newer; you do not need to update unless you want new features or languages.
Updated on Mar 13, 2012Shane submitted another thread to the forum post stating that if you put CCEnhancer's executable in your Program Files directory and then just create a Desktop shortcut that will eliminate the two extra files being created on the Desktop. That an easy fix! -

Several additions to what was already a great freebie that I have found works. Having used CC Cleaner for some years I am confident in the new additions this adds to the prog.

Its powerful you need to appreciate this before you let loose the dogs of war!

I am ignorant concerning computer registries. I believe this is a good product that's best used by computer experts. I am careful what I delete with this tool.

WATCH OUT! Ccenhancer should only be used by users who are very familiar with how their computer works and how the programs on your computer work, basically i think only computer techs should add this add on to their ccleaner program, if you are a novice, just stick with the regular ccleaner, or you will end up deleting something you shouldn't
