"I would NEVER pay for CA ISS"
Version: CA Internet Security Suite Plus 2011 7.0.0.115
Pros
CA ISS is provided FREE from Road Runner.
Cons
1. NOT Worth being provided FREE from Road Runner.
2. Lets in Mal-ware.
3. It Is Slow, Slow, Slow.
4. Shuts itself Down about once a week.Summary
Ca ISS is a poor ISS . It is so SLOW it makes my old P4 2.4 GHz laptop unusable. In contrast AVG runs with no troubles at all and, if you what for a sale you can get it FREE with a mail in rebate.
On my desk top it is SLOW and, will from time to time encounter problems and close. At onetime it would not update for about 30 days I kept getting "Update Failed" messages from it.So I called CA Tech Support. After A Tech looked at my computer remotely I was told I needed to pay them $150.00 for what was causing the problem to be fixed. The way I see it their ISS let the problem in to my computer they should fix it FREE. I build computers. I don't pay $150.00 for Tech Support. I am Tech Support to my friends and family. I uninsulated CA ISS and installed FREE AVG. WOW running AVG just reminded me how SLOW CA ISS is. AVG also found 3 viruses and a Trojan in my computer. After the free trial of AVG ran out I uninsulated it and put CA ISS back on.(don't forget I get CA FREE from RR) The response of my computer was immediately slowed and after 3 days it did its' old "Encountered a Problem" and closed thing again.I'm looking elsewhere for new Internet Security.I have tried Kaspersky too and it runs just fine on all my computers.
So, my conclusion is - CA ISS is not worth being FREE. -

This product became poor and useless.
CA changed their anti-phishing and I cannot rely on it when I go to buy. I cannot use Firefox. After about an hour browsing it stops and I must restart it. I switched to a different faster and reliable solution.Cons

Uninstall it and move to a different solution
