Version: CA Anti-Virus Plus Anti-Spyware 2009
"Just don't ever try to remove it!"
Pros: Can't think of any!!!!!
Cons: Impossible to get rid of! Remnants keep showing up at all the oddest times. The firewall still is trying to install on boot up and I uninstalled CA well over a year ago on a XP computer. Regedit will not let me get rid of the install references!!

Pros: Quick Anti-Spy Scan
Nice Interface.Cons: May block E-mail from friends out of country.

"CA Anti-Virus Plus Anti-Spyware 2008 version"
Pros: Scans fast.
Cons: Creates no desktop icon or shortcut and no icon appears in the system tray which made we wonder if the program was even installed at first. You have to click start, then programs to start it.
Summary:
Update, it created an icon in the system tray later. Program seems to work fine. read more

Pros: Worked sometimes.
Cons: Too many to list, crashes Vista with HIPS error's! Slows the system considerably.
Summary: Tech support? HA! Virus protection? HA! what with HIPS bringing everything down. I am running 64 bit Vista and downloaded CA's 64 bit application that I would classify as BETA. 64 bit users, you have been warned. read more
