This CD and DVD burner works as advertised, but the bundled toolbar it installs reduces its appeal. Burn4Free CD & DVD lets you burn audio discs or write data to CDs and DVDs by dropping audio or data files into the main window.
The button-heavy main window has a somewhat awkward look, but it's easy enough to understand. If you find yourself overwhelmed by the multitude of controls, you can switch to the more streamlined Easy mode. Be aware that the app attempts to install the NavExcel toolbar, which changes the way IE behaves when you mistype a URL or enter one of NavExcel's recognized keywords into the address bar.
Budget-minded users may not care, but even they have plenty of other cheap and free options. We'd prefer to burn discs with our jukebox of choice or pay for a more full-featured, less invasive application.

Burn data and audio from different file types (WAV, WMA, MP3, OGG, FLAC, WavPack, and CDA). Burn and save ISO files, open and save your project to disk, verify content, print compilations, copy DVD, copy BLU RAY and import your audio compilation from M3U and ASX playlists. The drives supported include dual-layer DVD, CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, and DVD-RAM (SCSI, IDE, EIDE, and USB 1.0 and 2.0).

Pros: I like only 1 thing about this product. It led me to better software.
Cons: It is intrusive, starting When the computer boots up, was handy in earlier vesions, this one on Vista is very uncooperative.
Uninstall imminentSummary: The only good this software did for me is introduce to me a GOOD functional family of Video tools, one of which I bought (AVS VIDEO COPY) and use today, and its registration allowed me access to dozens of free video and audio tools.

"Very poor intrusive software"
Pros: Colorful, but cluttered interface. Free and easy install
Cons: I opted out of toolbar install, but it installed anyway :(
The program then crashed before i even got to burn anythingSummary: Bottom line is it is cluttered and has adds. Not easy to use and crashed (for me). Force-Installing a browser toolbar is just not cool at all. Don't waste your time.

"says free,downloaded ,not FREE, have to register & buy."
Pros: not a thing, bunch of BS and not FREE at all.
Cons: nothing they lied, not FREE. am uninstalling now. You need to let your users know it is not FREE, a very, very, practically useless portion is free. Features one would want to use have to be paid for to get registration key. Bunch of useless BS
Summary: They lied, it is not FREE, and you don't find that out until after you have downloaded it, then they want to charge you to register and you can't use it unles you pay. The title Burn4Free is a bunch of BS and totally untrue.
