"Simple interface, easy to use, worked great"
Version: Bulk Image Resize Manager 2.0
Pros
I wanted to double the height/width of a number of images, and the program did just that!
Cons
Processes all files in folder; no way to select individual files.
Summary
This unsophisticated program has a very simple user interface, which took just seconds to figure out. It doubled the size of 25 small-sized GIF files I had placed in a new folder, exactly as I wanted. All I had to do was enter the folder and the desired percent size change, and BIRM did exactly that.
Minor issue: I forgot to mention that the output is only as a JPG file (my source files were BMP and GIF), but, fortunately, there is a program to bulk convert image files, ezImageConverter, so I can live with this relatively minor flaw!
Despite not allowing individual selections of images (which is the reason I had to create a new folder: to hold all the images I wanted to process), I am very pleased with this program.

"It resizes, not compresses"
Version: Bulk Image Resize Manager 2.0
Pros
Elementary to use. It certainly works on a whole folder full at a time if you want (but you have to remember to first create and specify a new folder or subfolder for the output).
Cons
Would be good to have some indication beforehand what the reduced size is likely to be. Results are smaller dimensions, not just fewer kilobytes, i.e. it's a smaller picture..
Summary
Smaller size is not really what I wanted. For now I'm sticking with ID Image Compressor.

"great tool"
Version: Bulk Image Resize Manager 2.0
Pros
not complicated, very easy to use, free, reduces the big files to a very small sizes, doesn't screw up the image quality...
Cons
no drag and drop support... works with folders only... this is acceptable though since it is a 'bulk resizer'
Summary
I like this tool a lot. It works wonderful. I always use it when I want to send some photos to my friends via email.

"Not of any use to me"
Version: Bulk Image Resize Manager 2.0
Pros
Free, which is nice
Cons
Does not support darg&drop, which is a major problem. It would have been nice to have a calculator, as most of the time you know what size you want your pictures to be, rather than guess what compression you want to use for them.
Summary
This could be a very useful program but right now it is not. Hopefully a new version will be released that can actually do something for you.
