  Pros

  - Simple way to make powerful relational databases - Visual editors for everything (forms, scripts, queries, etc.) - Powerful import and export features - Great networking capabilities - Good reports

  Cons

  - Some parts of it may feel a little unpolished - The way of establishing relations between records may take some time to get used to - Each "Folder" (table) can only hold up to 100,000 records, even though there's no limit to the number of folders.

  Summary

  I have been using this product since version 4, and I have to say that it is a solid personal database software. I have even used it in a small medical practice to get a mini-CRM and health records system running, with great success. What I like most about it is the way that everything is done through visual editors. Very elaborated forms can be designed this way, as well as complex queries and reports. Even the logic of the database app is done with a visual editor; powerful scripts can control the behavior and internal logic of the database, and yet it doesn't require one to learn a new or existing programming language. Their customer support is great, always promptly responding any doubts or suggestions I've sent to them, so I feel that I can recommend Brilliant Database to anyone that needs a small-to-mid-sized database solution. The only real downside is that some parts of the software can, at times, feel a bit "unpolished", for example, in the script editor there's no obvious way to move blocks of code from one part to another, but it can be done by cutting and pasting. In summary, a great software, I've been using it for a couple of years now and I'm sticking with it.
