Version: BootSkin 1.05a
"Destructive Stay AWAY!!!!!"
Pros: NOTHING!
Cons: This program completely destroyed my computer! Safe? Yeah right! I just had to reformat my hardrive and now i am in the prosses of rebuilding! After i put a bootskin on my computer and restarted it windows said fatal error shuting down to protect files. I had to use my recovery disk to even get my compupter up and running and i will never get some priceless pictures back

i got a virus from this program too, but mine was a boot virus and i know for a fact that it came from this program....sucks that you couldnt save your files tho....fortunately i saved my stuff

It had nothing to do with the programs. It was probably you. If you don't know how these programs change the Boot Skins, then stay away from them as you will certainly screw something up.

You either installed it wrong or there was something already on your computer. You could have rebooted in Safe Mode and deleted whatever the problem was ... if you were smart. ;)
Priceless pictures? I'm sure you'll get them back if they were YOURS, or the person who sent them will resend them to you.
I am sorry to hear about your loss, I had that happen but it wasn't with Boot Skins. I accidentally opened a Quarantined Virus
