Boot Guard 3.0 locks your computer with encrypted password security for Win95/98. The Boot Guard security requires that a password be entered prior to loading Windows and uses a two-tier password system. Three consecutive incorrect password attempts causes the system to lock and requires the second tier master password to unlock, even if rebooted. Failed attempts (including time and date) are logged. The user-friendly administration window is used to view the log file, as well as change passwords. 14 day trial period from time of installation. Uninstall utility built in. Boot Guard was not designed to keep hackers out, but will provide more than adequate security for most home and business applications.
