Version: BonkEnc Audio Encoder 1
"Best I found in the Free category"
Pros: Simple way to convert a whole directory of the notorious Apple M4A to MP3. I donated $10 to the project - so should you!
Cons: The program GPFd a couple times...no big deal. Also, the vertical scroll bar has an odd behavior.

Version: BonkEnc Audio Encoder 1
"FREE Clean GUI Easy Yet Configurable"
Pros: Small File Size descent RAM usage Clean GUI that gives plenty of info while giving you access to options ranging from the most basic to some of the most advanced. You can even organize the output based on meta tag info (ID3 tags on MP3s). Has its own auto-update util and its FREE (more info listed on sourceforge.net) No Ads Trial Periods or any other odd crap this is my new favorite audio converter/ripper.
Cons: Be careful to make sure another program does not have the file locked or the program quits with no warning or information as to why.

"Does whay it says no fuss no muss"
Pros: Very simple to use. Does what I asked for
-
Version: BonkEnc Audio Encoder 1
Pros: One of the very best and fastest open-source encoders. The options of choosing different codecs is very good. The assortment of useful codecs is quite a good choice.
Cons: Didn't find any. This should have been tried more than is evidenced by th low no. of downloads. It's worth a try and you'll be hooked onto it!
