Bonjour, also known as zero-configuration networking, enables automatic discovery of computers, devices, and services on IP networks. Bonjour uses industry standard IP protocols to allow devices to automatically discover each other without the need to enter IP addresses or configure DNS servers.
Bonjour for Windows includes a plugin to discover advertised HTTP servers using Internet Explorer. Click the Bonjour icon in the Internet Explorer toolbar to enable Bonjour browsing. If you have Bonjour devices on your local network with embedded HTTP (Web) servers, they will appear in the list.
The Bonjour Printer Wizard is also included and allows Windows computers to print to Bonjour networked printers, including USB shared printers connected to the AirPort Extreme and AirPort Express Base Stations. Since Apple first launched Bonjour in 2002, every major maker of network printers has adopted Bonjour. With the Bonjour Printer Wizard, computers using Windows can also experience the benefits of effortlessly discovering and printing to these Bonjour printers.

Went to uninstall, only partially uninstalled! Went to launch Itunes, does not launch because of removing Bonjour! Tried to remove Itunes and reload both programs. Will not let you uninstall Itunes or reload it either, (nor can you update)! This is on a PC! Went to web for help (take a look} hundreds are having this issue with no solutions ! Nightmare issue
Summary
They need to fix this issue and quick! Their loss in music sales alone, is compounding daily!!
Still cannot reload bonjour, nor Itunes nor Quicktime updates. Says cannot find .msi install files, please browse for new location. Nightmare, with no workarounds! Thanks for taking out Itunes, you led me right to Spotify! You are now no longer missed!

Updated on Apr 4, 2012For months and months now Itunes will not reload nor work, Bonjour will not reload nor work. So pleased they have addressed this issue NOT ....... This is absolutely the worst program I have ever encountered! Makes Norton look like a genius! Thank you for all the support Bonjour! -

Never got a chance to use it. only part of it downloaded and now I have an error message that comes up 15-20 times on my computer. bad DLL C:\programfile\Bonjour\mdnoNSP.dll be carful if you download this item.

Be careful What you download. Am unable to delete this out of my system so I just keep hitting the delete until it clears .

Needed to print from my Windows laptop to one of the printers attached to my Mac downstairs. Downloaded and installed this in no time. Found the computer and the printer. Have been printing with out an issue ever since.

Our home computer has always been a Mac. We use an Airport Express for wireless printing. Now that I spend more time at home, I needed a simple way to share the printer. Bonjour is it. It, quite literally, took 3 minutes to set-up and print my first document. Couldn't be happier.
Thank you, CNET, for having this available online so I didn't have to dig out my Apple disc and plug a drive into my netbook. -

I've been to Apple website to try and figure out how this works in order to print from my IPhone to my wifi printer. The wizard recognizes my printer from my computer but nothing shows up on my IPhone.

Wasn't too sure what this program did until reading the above summary and comments. Did sniff out extra devices without any apparent advisory (hidden - worked in the background), which can be both good and bad.

Worked in the background without saying that it was working, which can be both good and bad. I would have liked something saying what it did or that it was working rather than thinking that it was some unnecessary.

If the Kodak 6150 is using the Bonjour it is an older version. Itunes 10 won't work, if anyone knows how these work together pls help

Downloading Itunes 10 requires the removal of Bonjour for a later version, the two do not run together. Music file downloads start disappearing anytime the Ipod is plugged up to sync! So no I cannot rate this 5 star! Problems, Problems, Problems
