"Waste of time"
Reputed to be able to run Android on the PC desktop
Actually able to bollix up a simple install process
This was getting rave reviews in several articles I saw. I had used the alpha months ago when it became available, and I was looking forward to the beta. This is not what I was looking forward to. The installer that you download is itself a downloader for the full product. Once you have the 3.6 MB installer, you click it, and a desktop shortcut is created. At that point it begins to download the full installation file. When the installer hits 100% downloaded, it goes to 101%. And 102%. And so on. Generally, 100% of anything is the entire thing. In this case, I'm not so sure. I killed the downloader when the progress bar had reached 201% and was still going. I'm not sure what is supposed to happen; there's no documentation that I can find to detail the install process. Until the company comes clean with what's happening during the installation, I'm not touching this thing.
