    July 30, 2014  |   By fishler

    Version: BlueStacks App Player 0.8.12.3119

    Pros

I suggest you try "Andy" www.andyroid.net, it's a fully blown android devices running on your PC instead of an app player

    Cons

Bluestacks has allot of issues with app compatibility

"Tried this twice. I don't think there will be a third."

    July 19, 2014  |   By Mashkai

    Version: BlueStacks App Player 0.8.12.3119

    Pros

    Easy to use.
    Wide selection.
Has no issues connecting to the internet unlike some of its competition.

    Cons

    Extreme amounts of lag.

    Summary

I love this program in theory. I first tried it over a year ago but the lag issues quickly got too irritating to deal with. So, I uninstalled it and figured that I would try again in the future when some of the kinks were worked out. Unfortunately, the lag issues are still a major issue and this time they come with ads. The games/apps are still playable but barely. Anything timed or requiring quicker reflexes is unlikely to work well.

"Great for the few games I play, Except for one."

    July 11, 2014  |   By JayRW

    Version: BlueStacks App Player 0.8.11.3116

    Pros

-Runs a lot of apps properly (it's no longer in beta).
-Performance is pretty good especially ever since they moved from Gingerbread to 4.0.4 ICS OS (PC i7 920 @ 3.6ghz / EVGA GTX 480 / 12GB / Win 7 64)
-Free (for now) you just have to deal with random apps being installed almost daily, or pay $2 / month.

    Cons

-Simpsons Tapped Out has problems with Nvidia GPU's (bluestacks itself crashes), Doesn't happen on AMD GPU's with latest drivers installed from my experience.
-Bluestacks customer support is non-existent, they shutdown their support forum recently and have never once replied to any of my Facebook messages, emails or problem reports generated by the app itself.

    Summary

Family Guy, Plants vs Zombies 2, Candy Crush, Farm Heroes Saga all run great except for minor slowdown with PvsZ 2, Simpsons Tapped Out runs good but has a frequent crashing issue which causes the bluestacks front end to stop working, after a lot of troubleshooting I've been able to determine it's a compatibility issue with Nvidia GPU's.

Bluestacks support won't acknowledge my query about this and from my experience & glitches with the program over the last 2 years I believe they mainly work with AMD hardware during development but don't quote me on this.

"Play apps on a bigger screen!"

    June 29, 2014  |   By xyrablake

Version: BlueStacks App Player 0.8.10.3096 beta

    Pros

Some apps, specially games, are just too difficult to use on a small touch screen. Running your apps on a computer through bluestacks and using a mouse is more efficient than tapping tiny buttons on a small touch screen.

    Cons

Obviously, there's no gyro in your computer

    Summary

Running game apps on your computer is way better than tapping minisule buttons on a touchscreen

    "Frees up phone storage"

    June 29, 2014  |   By fernandj90

Version: BlueStacks App Player 0.8.10.3096 beta

    Pros

I play so many games on my android phone, that my memory is running out. Playing my apps on my computer via bluestacks allows me to uninstall apps on my phone so i can free up storage space.

    Cons

I wish more games are available on bluestacks

    Summary

If you're running out of phone memory, you can still enjoy you apps on your computer via bluestacks.

    June 26, 2014  |   By w.kevin38

Shows less ads than on mobile. And since I use my mouse and keyboard, i dont accidentally trigger those pesky ads anymore.

    Cons

    None relating to ads

    Summary

If you tend to accidentally trigger the ads on your mobile apps, using bluestacks is a good solution.

"Current version is 0.8.10.3096 - Still no mouse shake!"

    June 14, 2014  |   By bratandpest

Version: BlueStacks App Player 0.7.18.921 beta

    Pros

It is getting more and more stable

    Cons

Still no shake/accelerometer support for PCs!

How hard would it be to use right/center click mouse movements to simulate the hardware accelerometer?

    Summary

It's lame/stupid to market this to the PC market without no shake/accelerometer support!

Logging in takes a while, but after that, everything goes faster.

    Summary

The App Sync feature helps you easily access on the computer your favorite mobile apps.
