Although it provides a forum for you to share your thoughts about Web pages, this toolbar wasn't quite what we expected. BlogEverywhere Blogbar promises to let you blog on any Web page, but it was really the ability to blog about any Web page, which is hardly groundbreaking technology or a fresh approach. And your comments are only seen by other BlogEverywhere members.

The toolbar is pretty average, with the standard fare of a pop-up blocker, search tool, and keyword highlighter. It has a radio that plays well and allows you to add your own online channels through the Preferences window. It's also supposed to show RSS feeds, but the ticker display was nowhere in sight on the toolbar. The toolbar's claim to fame is the ability to blog on any Web page. What it actually gives you is a new window just below the Web page where you can add your comments and view those of other BlogEverywhere members. Comments are added through a WYSIWYG editor that has the standard formatting tools, and publishing requires only a click of a button. Some sites we visited blocked the commenting ability, though, even though the comments appear only on BlogEverywhere's window. Although it's not the fault of the toolbar, not all comments were relevant to the site and there was little interaction among members.

You'll have to create a free account at BlogEverywhere. If you just want a method of sharing your thoughts on Web sites (or anything else, it seems), you can give this freeware toolbar a try.
