"Nice product, but will not run on Win 7 !"
Version: BlackBox Password Manager 3.0
Pros
Easy to use and open/add new paswords. Very secure...logs you out after a minute.
Cons
This is HUGE...I cannot get this product to work on Windows 7 machine. I copied the data file over and it will not open. I believe it has to do with the 64 Bit OS vs Win XP, where I normally run. Copying XP data file to a Win 7 machine will not work!
Summary
Nice product, but make sure you use a p/w manager product that runs on Win 7 and can be migrated over from your XP/Vista/older OS's !!

"KeePass rebranded"
Version: BlackBox Password Manager 1.9
Pros
KeePass is a very nice Password Manager. This application is KeePass given another name. Since KP is open source I guess that is OK.
About the only improvement I could see in my short test of BlackBox is that the help file is more detailed.Cons
My main gripe against KeePass is that, if you want backups of your password database you have to install plugins that are not easy to understand.
BlackBox offers to install a toolbar from Best Security Tips.Summary
Since one may decline to install the toolbar this is not a very big deal, but it shows that this software is mainly being used to promote the website. If one wants support of this application you will probably get more info at KeePass's sourceforge site.
Many other password managers don't have the problem of no easy to use backups. -
"Why this?"
Version: BlackBox Password Manager 1.5
Pros
This app is an identical twin of the KeePass open source freeware, and thus it's equally easy to manage - I'd say it's qualities are equal in every respect except for its lack of plugins, which may not be such a big deal for others than the geekish.
Cons
Maybe you could whish for a simpler way of filling in web forms and things, but that's not really a drawback. The app is free, right? But an application with a doppelganger makes me uneasy, else I'd have rated it 5.
