"RIM's best inducement to buy an iPhone"

    November 18, 2011  |   By SimonSeven

    Pros

    East to install

    Cons

    Doesn't work

    Summary

On my Mac, Desktop Manager can't even see iCal much less sync it. It won't back up my phone and it only pretends to sync my contacts (everything looks good until you check your BB and the contacts haven't updated). The worst of it is, this software used to work and RIM has messed it up.

Your title says it all. There were actually quite a few ways in which I liked my Blackberry, but I became so sick and tired of the awful, AWFUL synching of my contacts and calendars (nothing, you know, important) that I gave up. Now that I've switched to an iPhone, I can't imagine ever going back.

(To be fair, it wasn't ALL about how rotten desktop synching is. The Blackberry app store is pretty wretched as well, and that has nothing at all to do with what platform you're on.)
