"Excellent free version"

Pros
Does what it needs to do.
Cons
As with all the antiviruses I have tested, it is eaily disarmed by some of the more potent malware. Also, not compatible with Comodo firewall when used on the Vista OS.
Summary
I recommend this to most people. It is free, it does what it should and I have not found one internet suite that has good firewalls, antivirus and malware protection so I will continue to use 3 different programs.

Pros
It has the best detection rate, scans all areas, custom scanner, and is free.
Cons
It makes your computer slower than others when scanning and doesn't scan fast when it does make your computer slow.
Summary
BitDefender is a by far the best free anti-virus on the market.
