    "WORTHLESS PRODUCT"

    December 23, 2011  |   By msula95

    Version: Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2012

    Pros

I had the joy of spending 70+ hours diagnosing problems with my new computer's disk drive. After above mentioned many hours, we found that it was Bitdefender.

    Cons

Flushes AutoPlay and eventually the user gets the added feature of your computer not recognizing your disk drive. AND THEN, there is no disk drive.

EZ fix: Restore to factory settings and reinstall everything EXCEPT Bitdefender. I went with Avast and things are running fine.

I attempted to get a refund, but that effort was also a waste of time.

    Summary

Shame on CNET for recommending this product.

    "Not The Best..."

    November 22, 2011  |   By Saad Mir

    Version: Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2012

    Pros

    UI,Scan time,complete protection,easy to use.

    Cons

Slowdown in Pc & browsing performance,to update you must have to register.

    Summary

Few aspects are very appreciable but the update issue made me to uninstall it,because for every update i have to log-in to the account. That is such a pathetic thing Bitdefender has ever done to its users & fans.

"Bitdefender 2012 itself is a Big Virus"

    November 5, 2011  |   By Atul88

    Version: Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2012

    Pros

Inbuilt PC Rescue Mode, no need to make RecueCD

    Cons

    1.Huge Resource Hog
2.Kills your Internet Speed ( i wasn't able to D/L any file from Net)
3.was not able to find HEUR:Trojan.Win.32.Generic with the latest Updates
4.Can't delete win32/Sality completely. it keeps getting back

    Summary

I took the part in the Bitdefender 2012 Beta testing...i just used BETA pogram for about 7 days & gave them reports about their Product...2 months ago they gave me free key for 6 months..
i thought lets try it out bcs it was not a BETA anymore...& i had both of the above viruses in my computer. Let me tell you it was an horrible experience for me. Bitdefender was not at all able to delete above viruses. Finally i delete viruses with the help of Malwarebytes + Avira2012. then i formated my partition & now happy with Avast 6.0 ( can't install Avira bcs it shows false positives)
