    "Bad Product, Bad Customer Service, Auto-Renewal Scam"

    None absolutely none

    Cons

    Installed on a number of PC's and had to remove from several because of problems with other software, IE Home page could not be set until BD uninstalled and Fingerprint software would not work.
    Customer support no ideas try re-installing made no difference and a pain to uninstall.
    Auto renewal feature is a scam and particularly difficult to cancel internet Security 3PCs 1yr Originally £14.99 / Auto-renewal £202.30 OUTRAGEOUS - and still not sure if auto-renewal has been cancelled - will find out in next week or so!!

    Summary

    So don't buy online with auto-renewal enabled!

    "Awful product with terrible customer support"

    None that I discovered when I was using BitDefender.

    Cons

    Allows computers to become infested with malware.
    Awful customer service
    Charged my credit card for the annual upgrade fee even though I had cancelled my subscription
    Rebooting my PC every day when I was running BitDefender because of sluggishness, etc.
    No way to manually run a scan

    Summary

    In January 2013, I decided to pay for anti-virus protection. There were no issues with my desktop, but I thought my computer might be exposed to danger by using the freeware provided with Windows. BitDefender seemed to be frequently recommended, so I downloaded it and selected the annual auto-upgrade option. Within a few days of installing BitDefender, my desktop computer started experiencing issues—freezing, sluggishness, etc. I will never ever use BitDefender again and I cringe every time I see it listed as a good product.

    "Bitdefender Total Security"

    Never had any issues whatsoever...

    I have had Bit defender more than 3 years now. I highly recommend this internet security suit to anybody.

    "Worst Tech Support in the World"

    The absolute worst tech support. Was told to use Recue Mode to remove a problem on February 25th. Locked into RescueMode. After weeks of daily phone calls and hours and hours on hold a tech talked me through sorting out the problem in 10 minutes on March 18th 21 Days. Remote control hadn't worked. Techs asked me if I had tried what they had suggested in an email. Couldn't recieve emails as computer was locked in Rescue Mode. Was told numerous times that they would call back at a certain time No phone calls ever received. Suppervisiors are always in meetings and unavailable. All in All the absolute worst tech support that I have ever not received.

    Summary

    I would not recommend BitDefender if you are not a tech wizard

    "Bitdefender is crap."

    Nothing good to say..

    I had bitdefender for nearly a year in various computers with OS: W7 and W8.1. Bitdefender make computers crash all the time. Only what is find is cookies, I give a new name: Cookie monster. I sticked in usb with other antivirus that find over 100 viruses on one of my computers that cookie monster did not find.

    Summary

    There is lots of good ones out there, Kaspersky worked some how, but anything is better than cookie monster..

    "WORST experience with antivirus software EVER!"

    The only thing I can think of that is good about this software is that if you don't know what to do with viruses, this will take care of them for you. Just be aware that it may have unwanted consequences (when this program removes infected files that you need).

    Cons

    I have been using Antivirus software for almost 20 years. I hated Norton (because it was impossible to remove and I got tired of some of its mechanics) but at least Norton knew what to do with viruses.

    I don't know how this pile of poo achieved "top" ratings without investing some serious money as pay offs. (Look at the USER ratings to get a more realistic impression)

    THERE ARE SO MANY CONS THAT I HAVE SWAPPED "Cons" (1000 characters) with "Summary" (Which allows 15,0000 characters).

    Summary

    1. Some say that this programs minimizes notifications. This couldn't be further from the truth. Every time I start a game or watch my DVD player, it gives me a warning that it has entered some "game" mode (whatever that is... it never really explains). The customer pops up a screen (at completely random times) just to tell me I have logged into the web site (see #7).

    2. THEY WILL KEEP YOUR MONEY IF THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT. 30 DAYS WON'T HAVE ENOUGH TIME FOR MOST TO DISCOVER ALL BITDEFENDER ISSUES. I called customer service with my problem within 8 days of installing the software (see #3). I finally decided I wanted my money back after repeated frustration. I called the day after the "30 day" period and they REFUSED to give me back my money even though I filed my original claim within a week. I didn't even have time to discover its worst features. (All problems beyond 3 were discovered AFTER 30 days).

    3. When it detects an infection I WANT TO KNOW!!!! I ALSO WANT A SAY IN WHAT TO DO!!!! I don't want to read about it a few days later when it gives me its "report." Customer service told me that this was impossible.

    4. DON'T BOTHER INSTALLING A LARGE PROGRAM FROM A DVD with the antivirus program running. The antivirus will automatically, without any warning, scan EVERY SINGLE FILE on the dvd, making it look like the installation process is TAKING UP TO THREE OR TIMES AS LONG TO INSTALL. A boot sector scan is all you need since most CD/DVD's are professionally developed. You can always right click and scan the dvd rom drive if you want to be sure.

    5. Shutting down all antivirus functionality takes 5-6 steps (even though they make it look like it only takes one. You have to go into "settings" and explicitly shut things down in order to disable the auto scan of removable media. There is other functionality there that is NOT disabled with one-two click method.)

    6. Even movies take 2-3 minutes to activate when putting in a new CD because of the automatic scan functionality that is the default behavior.

    7. The antivirus program will pop up a useless window simply to tell you that you have logged into the website. There is no rhyme or reason behind when this happens (such as as soon as you log into windows and the program loads). I have had this window interrupt a DirectX based game hours after I started the computer.

    8. Blocks completely valid commercial web sites without viruses. (Calling customer service will have them "investigate" the problem which will result in a removal of the block without explanation, even if you ask for it.)

    "Buyer beware!!!!!!!!!!"

    Nothing, complete garbage.

    Cons

    Will give BSOD all the time, freezes constantly, nothing works that they offer. Do not waste your time and space on your HD oh yeah by the way when i went to do a system scan it ate 30gb of my c drive and never gave it back just destroyed it so now my c drive is 1gb, I contacted customer support and they said they are looking into it, what a laugh I googled the issue and they have been looknig into it for years now.

    "HORRIBLE customer service!!!!!! Don't do it!"

    I have no idea. I haven't been able to install the software. I purchased a one-time intervention to help install. After 20 minutes on hold (experiencing "higher than normal call volume"), call was disconnected. Repeated attempts to get back in the queue resulted in "please hold, your call will be answered in the order . . ." and then disconnection. I sent an email, to which I received a response with an open case number and promise to contact me.

    Cons

    Lousy customer support.

    Summary

    Wish I had read more reader reviews before I purchased. To me, no matter how good the product is, if you can't get tech support when you need it, it's useless.

    "THE BEST IN THE MARKET"

    Nice UI, run smooth as a feather, best antivirus all around.

    None, that I can think of.

    Summary

    This puppy will uninstall, the junk that slows down your PC before installs. I really don't see why the bad reviews, they probably didn't understood how to install it. In my case it speed up my win7 64bit PC. BIG TIME!

    "DO NOT USE BITDEFENDER!!!!"

    I did a lot of research and Bitdefender seemed to be a great product. As many of the customer reviews I read, it was easy to install and seemed like it was going to be easy to use.

    Cons

    I got a virus THE FIRST DAY I HAD THE SOFTWARE ON MY COMPUTER. The virus shut down my computer completely and I couldn't even turn it on. I sent emails to bitdefender via my phone and they kept telling me to turn on my computer in safemode. BUT IT WOULDN'T TURN ON! So I took my computer to be fixed at a repair shop. The repair guy said Bitdefender is horrible. I requested a refund from bitdefender and didn't hear back, so I sent another request. I finally received an e-mail saying I they have customer support for issues and to call them. I told them no, I wanted a refund. I finall received an email back saying that I would receive a refund in 5-7 days but now it is 15 business days later and I still don't have a refund. I tried to connect to their customer support online, but it said noone was available. Now I've been on hold for 15 minutes and noone has answered. WORST COMPANY EVER. I'M SOOO MAD.
