What's new in this version:
version 2.3.0-0 has updated PHP to 5.4.13 and Apache to 2.2.24.
Worked out of the box with no config: Apache, MySql, RedMine ...1 hour setup and GO. Nice interface.
BitNami Distribution is "SO bundled" that it is not obvious how to manage the individual SW programs. How is MySQL backed up? Ruby command line? Apache config changes, ... Can the bundled components be easily updated individually later?
Perfect Windows Bundle for quck Install and Eval of Redmine. RedMine is nice, full featured professional, pretty impressive for Open Source. The BitNami Installer got me to eval stage in an hour or two with no sweat vs. DAYS and Headaches. Only concerns is going forward with individual program updates, backup and smart deployment with other apps using same building blocks.
