"Everything I needed in a small size"
Version: BitMeter 2 3.5.10
Pros
View bandwidth usage over the web
Filter out which IP addresses can access the info
View month/week/day usgae
Set a limit alarmCons
No way to keep the program from being closed by a user, so it cannot be monitored if they close it.
Summary
I Love BitMeter 2 becuase it is a small program and what I have been looking for. I wanted to view how much badwidth one PC of myne used each month and to be able to keep logs and view remotly. BitMeter 2 was more than I wanted, I can view month, week and day usage of data. I can view the stats on the web with any computer with the IP address I put into the program. You choose what IP address(es) can view the web log. The UI is super easy to use, does not take up any noticable CPU power. The ONE thing I absolutly dispise about this product is that it has no security. By that I mean taht I cant password-protect it to prevent it from being tampered with by a user. If they keep all else the same but make it so it can naver be closed without a password, or so it is not noticable to select users, then it will be absolutly perfect.
I'm Dominic DiCOstanzo, and I am already recommending this to all my friends. -

"Handy little tool"
Version: BitMeter 2 3.5.10
Pros
Simple to use. Lets you know what your usage is by day, week, and month.
Cons
Since it's free, why try and find fault?
Summary
I have to use a satellite service for my internet so this is a handy little tool for tracking my usage.

"Great Program! Lacks features."
Version: BitMeter 2 3.5.10
Pros
Does everything I could want it to do... basically just monitor how much data travels through my computer, both upload and download.
Cons
It only monitors data on this computer. It does not monitor data usage through the network. I really want to know when other computers in the house are connecting and using data... and how much data is being transferred. :(
Summary
Even with the 1 very sad con... I will still keep the program. It is very handy.

"Nice little program"
Version: BitMeter 2 3.5.10
Pros
Small size/low overhead; simple to use.
Cons
Somewhat lacking in features, e.g., ability to see traffic to/from a particular IP or LAN vs. WAN/internet, etc.
Summary
Nice little program. Easy to use and useful.

"Useful and free, but lacks unit scale"
Version: BitMeter 2 3.5.10
Pros
Shows useful information, resizeable, transparent mode.
Cons
The measurements can't be smoothed that I can see. The graph line is extremely jagged when under high bandwidth load. The lack of a unit scale leaves you guessing what the "average" throughput is, really.
Summary
For free, this is decent software. It appears to have no negative effect on system performance when running. However, the lack of a scale and the lack of graph smoothing, limit the usefulness of this program.

"Handy little network usage monitor"
Version: BitMeter 2 3.5.10
Pros
Nice and easy to use, unobtrusive and handy historical data recording.
Cons
Can't see which port the d/l u/ls are on.
Summary
I like this tool because it is minimalist, low on resources and fairly simple to use. It has enough features without being overcomplicated. It would be nice if you could see which port the downloads and uploads are using.
