Version: BitDefender Professional Plus 8.0.2
Pros: BitDefender has the most virus definitions (177,000) I have seen, great unpackers, a truly underated AV. Updates about two to three times a day.
Cons: Little heavy on resourses, Firewall could use some work. Beside Kaspersky, this is the ultimate AV. Takes about two hours to scan 30 Gigs.

Pros: Apart from the interface which looks kinda cool I don't have many positive things to say about this software.
Cons: Used the trial version and if it is anything to go by this software is absolutely the pitts. I had some minor issues with Trojans but after I downloaded this software.. took me hours to get it sorted. It clogged my resources, nothing simply was working anymore. Even uninstalling (which normally should not be a problem) was a nightmare. I cannot see how anyone would be prepared to pay $45,- for this..

Pros: it found the virus.
Cons: I thought Bitdefender suppose to be one hell of a good AV, until, I tried Avast AV. Avast found the same virus as bitdefender. The problem is bitdefender suppose to delete it from my harddrive when I asked it to, instead the virus was left alone in my harddrive for days. Lucky for me I tried on a new AV and see what happen..Very disappointed in bitdefender.

I have some problems with this antivirus !The problem was ,the program find a Trojan in Firefox and he didend delete it .He deleted when i give him a full computer scan !

"Great performance and stability, good overall functionality"
Pros: BitDefender is finally a mature antivirus, improved greatly since the early versions (initially they called it "AVX").
I preferred BitDefender to other A/V software, namely Norton 2005, F-Secure and Panda - all three of them used a lot of resources and were way too "thick" for my taste (lots and lots of files installed all over my computer, especially NAV and FSAV), and also many executables bundled, which is awful for performance.
BitDefender is a small program, the kit is 12 MB and after installation it uses about 20 MB in the installation folder and some additional 20 in C: (for installation source and other related).
Functionality is also great, I love the firewall feature because it lets me know everytime any program wants to connect somewhere, virus scanning worked faster than others
