"The worst antivirus on the market!"
Pros: none. Well, you can delete it easily and get something that actually does work.
Cons: Do not buy this product! It is full of bugs and they know it. Their attitude is : deal with it. They expect the buyers to debug their product for them. I would rather do without.
Summary: Great if you want c. 1995 computer speed. Malware does not work and constantly says that you have never ran a scan. They know this is a problem, send a fake patch that does nothing. Otherwise, expect no help from support. Makes mozilla crash every f... read more

Version: BitDefender Antivirus 2009
Pros: Easy to install, choice of 3 user interfaces of varying complexity, works on Vista. Upgrade to next version was easy. Reasonably priced (and coupons available)
Cons: Had some issues that took tech support a while to get to, still haven't been able to get the "network" feature (look at status of multiple PC from a PC) to work on more than one PC.
Summary: I couldn't get some of the well recognized names AV working on my PC without consuming a lot of CPU power. Bitdefender installed easily, doesn't take too much CPU power, has decent features and stops virus'. And doesn't cost too much. read more

"2010 now out.. def get it over 2009"
Pros: great detection rate
Cons: slows your computer down even with high end hardware

Pros: Low cost. Simple interface.
Cons: Has a knack for becoming unstable. Fouled up my registry. Significantly slows boot times in Vista x64. Lack of adequate support.
Summary: I've been using BitDefender since 2007 and I have given up on them. It consistently fouls up my Vista x64 installation. It works fine 50% of the time, but the other 50% is it a nightmare to deal with. I won't be renewing my license. read more
