"Awful, Unethical, & Rude"

The software didn't recover anything for me. After spending $104, I would expect for either the software to work as advertised, or a full refund. When the software didn't work, I tried contacting the Customer Service. No matter what subject line I used, it wouldn't allow me to enter a ticket, and just passed me off to the FAQ's, which did not answer my question. I then tried to get a refund, but the FAQ's point out to all sales are final.
I then submitted a ticket using the subject of 'other' informing them if I cannot get a refund since the software doesn't do what it is supposed to do, I will have to request a chargeback from my bank.
The reply I recieved was this:
"It sounds like extortion. We'll provide your bank with the details of the sale, the terms you agreed to, as well as this threatening email from you and let them decide."
No mention of trying to resolve my problem, no mention of 'sorry but all sales are final', just a rude response.Summary

This VirtualLab Recovery software did not work for me. When I created a Support Ticket (twice) at Binary Biz for the Virtual Lab Software I purchased, no one every responded. When I tried to get a Refund for my $104 purchase I found I couldn't because I did not buy it directly through BinaryBiz. My account just says this purchase not eligible for a refund. I asked for Support and help - nothing! Sinks!
Summary
Terrible Support. No Refund if it doesn't work for your problem. Out $104 (they charge you for using Paypal). Really do not want to do business with the vendor. Terrible experience. Like working with a ghost that takes your money and then you have something you cannot use.

Software is a bit clunky, but did recover some of my files.
Cons
Binary Biz charged my credit card twice, then refused to refund one of the transactions. I had to file a claim through my bank to recover my funds. VirtualLab may recover files, but not stolen money! Buyer beware.
Summary
I would think twice before purchasing this product. If you do, know that you will never receive a refund or other helpful customer service. I thought $104.95 would be a reasonable price to pay for this software, but after my experience with BinaryBiz and their customer service, I would never again purchase software from them. They were willing to keep a fraudulent duplicate transaction, rather than ethically handle my complaint and keep a customer happy. You may find the software useful, but be VERY careful when using their check-out and payment systems.

Data was NOT recovered. Paid in advance only because the scan stated that there was data to be recovered. They will not refund you money if they cannot get the data. They only recovered Hex FFs from my DVD. Another piece of software was able to recover the data correctly, and at a much lower price.

This is really great program. I have tried their free 100k demo with my old crashed drive that I am about to throw it away. It's amazing that this product can really retrieved the data that I thought I will never get it back.
It took about a hour for program to analyze the corrupted drive before I gained the access to the drive and it is kind of slow to jump from one directory to another. However, it seems that the program also include a useful tool to let you duplicates the drive to a image file, which should help improve the performance and prevent your drive to further damage your data. I have not tried this feature out yet so no comment; but regarding the data recovery process is excellence and easy to use.

I downloaded version 5.3.4.330 from download.com. Unzipped and ran utility. It said upgrade to version 5.4.5 was available. Selected upgrade. It launched command window titled tlupdstp.exe with a blinking cursor in window. It started printing hundreds of blank pages to lpt1 printer. Sent error report to Microsoft after crash. Ran program again without trying to upgrade. It scanned a corrupted partition harddrive in about 45 minutes and it found almost all files. Selected save files and popup message said upgrade required before saving files. It would be nice to know this before spending 45 minutes scanning a drive. Error reported to company. They said nothing was wrong with upgrade process and closed the ticket. This utility looks like it has potential, but I don't have the time to beta test their product.

VirtualLab is easy to install and use. It took only about 10 minutes from the beginning of downloading and the software was scanning my broken hard disk. The scan itself took a few hours, but who cares as long as it recovers every single important file that is lost! VirtualLab really saved me from a big headache.

Not up front with pricing, they give you credit if you write a 5 star review here. So don't trust any positive review you see, they have the system fixed. They only let you know the price after you've invested hours having it scan your drive, then the hold your data hostage based on the # of GB.
