Version: Belarc Advisor 7.2k
"Lifesaver!!!"
Pros: Belarc found that one of Microsoft's patches was installed but not functioning properly. It gave me a link to an info-page that gave me detailed instructions on how to fix the problem. Microsoft could not detect the problem but Belarc Advisor DID!!! As long as MS keeps issuing patches lol, I'll be using this to verify the installation!
Cons: Internet Express has to be your default browser to display the report, otherwise you have to go into Program files to locate the profile-link. Very frustrating 'til you figure it out! lol

For me at least, but then all of our computer set ups all have their own quirks. I'm just glad that I don't have to use IE for anything unless I really, really have to.

in Opera on other pc, and prefer the display in IE. Try Belarc with IE as default and see if you notice any difference. Trust me, if I could eliminate IE completely.....I WOULD!!!

MS-updates and Belarc, and Opera for everything else. Opera has cookies enabled but it won't open for Belarc when Opera is default browser. So I set IE as default browser, click on Belarc and it opens in IE as it is supposed to. Belarc states "Requires IE 3 or Netscape 3, and higher versions. Also runs on Opera, Mozilla, and Firefox." So, I realize that it works with other browsers, but if there is any probs with Belarc, this is one solution!!!

I don't even use IE. My Opera browser diplays everything that Belarc Advisor has to offer. Maybe your settings are off(cookies not enabled).

It's the browser that comes installed in all versions of MicrosoftWindows. Browser??? It's what displays the website you're reading right now. lol
