"A mini studio for the iphone, best app yet."
Pros
For making beats or songs on the iphone or ipod touch, you can customize your own kits, by using loops and samples, built-in sequencer, mixer, effects, quantize, equalizer, bit crusher, and filter. 16 mpc type pads , export to midi or wave file
Cons
A lot to learn, slight learning curve for some,
Summary
This is a steal for 19.00 you can bang out a loop or song in minutes using this app, and
it sounds as good as the samples you use. The sky is the limit when it comes to making your own kits, you use an application called beat pack on your computer to drag and drop your samples on the 16 pads, give your kit a name, info and your own small pic and an website if you want, and click create kit, the kit is sent to the directory you pick, then you download the kit wirelessly from the iphone. There are many videos on how to use BeatMaker. I have used computer Digital audio workstations such as Sonar, cubase, reasons, pro tools etc, which I still use today, but for fun, I can load a kit when I travel, and come up with many great ideals and export my finished track to my computer later, and take my song to the next level and its great to have something so portable to make music on, inspiration may hit at any time. I can't wait to see what they add to this program in future updates,
