BearFlix roars out of the cave with swarming, hashing, fast downloads and a video player, but hibernates when confronted with proxies.
BearFlix almost configures itself, and its toolbar and icon interface is geared toward novices. (Configuration options help advanced users suit the program to taste.) Based on the popular BearShare, and connected to the Gnutella network, this utility is optimized for video files. Simply enter a search term, and find files immediately. As with all P2P networks, there's no guarantee the files are available, accurately named, or virus-free. However, BearFlix's file-rating option helps users self-police spam off the network.
BearFlix uses hashing to discover identical files across the network, making file swarming easy without user intervention. We found that files downloaded very quickly, but BearFlix took slightly more system memory than Firefox 2. However, it includes a video player to help forestall memory creep. This freeware version includes a banner ad, and download speeds are slightly crippled. Advanced users will note configuring BearFlix is easy but will be disappointed the program lacks proxy server support.
Novice peer-to-peer users will find BearFlix a great entry-level P2P program, but most users will prefer an application geared to files of all types.
From Musiclab, LLC:
BearFlix is the fastest video download application on the Web offering access to millions of video titles, all free. BearFlix is powered by the same engine as BearShare, but optimized from the ground up for video download. BearFlix is 100% clean, with no adware, no spyware, no viruses, no trojans. Just pure video downloads. Share BearFlix with your friends.

Pros
Can't think of any!
Cons
Can never log on as it won't connect. Help center direct you to BearShare Help who won't help BearFlix users. Can't find anyway to upgrade to Pro to see if service improves, but am very scepitical that it will improve. BearShare Help won't help at all - they're just not interested.

Pros
Easily downloadable
Cons
I can't seem to get it out of the red dots instead of the green like it's supposed to. I can't find the files that I have downloaded so I can burn them to disc
Summary
I like it for the abundance of downloadable material, such as adult material, and the downloads ar fairly quick.

Pros
More results
Cons
even though there's more results the only thing that matters is how many sources.. and usually the results you don't find on regular Bearshare don't have that many sources.
I downloaded this several different times to try to get it to work. I was not able to. I even went so far as to disable all my security programs, in case that was the problem. Still no good.
Summary
It sounds like it would be a worthy program if it worked.

Pros
Has better sources than Limewire or Frostwire.
Cons
Shuts down in Windows Vista Home Premium.
Summary
I had no trouble to begin with when i first stared using this product but after several Microsoft updates it just stopped working. I got tired of it and tried to unistall it to no avail thus having to nuke my os just to get rid of it just like frostwire and bearshare. Not a very good product that can't unistall itself if you don't want to use it anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I did not find it of use for my application. Moreover, it commandeered my internet browser (IE7) and I have not been able to disengage it although I have removed the program from my PC.
