"Pre Windows Vista only"

Pros
I used this before I got windows vista and windows 7 and it was an absolute godsend. It was easy to use, and providing you're brave enough to enter your registry, the instructions were clear about how to remove harmful registries.
Cons
Once I upgraded to vista and to 7 then Bazooka stopped updating. My database is now over 1000 days old. It also doesn't recognise the fact that windows vista and 7 have files that have been moved about, so when I do scan, there is always dangerous files that must be seen to.
Summary
If you are pre-vista/7 then this is a great piece of software to have on your computer. Reliable and simple removal of registry instructions. However if vista/7 is your laptop/pc then I would not recommend this software.
It's a great shame this has not been updated for the newer windows, as it was brilliant at protecting the computer. -
"Doesn't fix anything"

Fast install and scan. Was trying to find the source of my google search redirects and this program actually did find a couple of things that other programs didn't.
Cons
Unfortunately, the things it found were supposed malicious files renamed as necessary Windows operations and it basically told me "this file seems suspicious but it also might be an important function in your computer" You have to manually remove everything and I just don't feel comfortable deleting files on my PC based on an "it MIGHT be bad" report from a program that thinks not being updated in 1000 days is current.
Summary
Gave me hope and a couple of leads but in the end, Bazooka is too unreliable and outdated to trust by itself.

My Bazooka scan is complete in less than 1 second.

Maybe it's scanning for a real bazooka in my PC, because it isn't scanning for *anything* on my 500GB hard drive.
Summary
I find it UNBELIEVABLE that Download.com would state that the Bazooka scanner is somehow "keeping those nasty programs out of your hard drive." I generally agree with their assessment of software, however, they are way off on this one. The reality is:
1) Bazooka is not an active, real-time scanner. As such, there's no way it is "keeping" spyware, root-kits, or viruses of any kind of "nasty programs" from getting onto your hard drive. This program doesn't even have the capability to remove them!
2) It may be scanning something, but I guarantee it's not my hard drive. My hard drive isn't even accessed by Bazooka, much less scanned.
3) Bazooka is free thereby, at least marginally, increasing it's usage and somebody's reliance on it. This only serves to make matters worse for the novice who accidentally believes it is "keeping" anything off their hard drive and that it is capable of removing even half of the most common spyware variations out there.
When I received this inquiry from Download.com to leave feedback, I looked on my computer for the software and couldn't kind it. I re-installed it and recalled why it wasn't on my hard drive: although at one point it may have been a worthwhile addition to my anti-spyware arsenal, now it is clearly not.
Save yourself the time of downloading, installing, and uninstalling this program and download Combofix instead. It's free too. And I believe it's one of the top 3 best spyware/virus removers out there (as of 02/10, anyway).
The fact this is free and provides someone (and yes there is 'someone' out there who qualifies) the FALSE sense of security that there is no spyware on their machine makes it even more of a menace to society. Download.com's statement that Bazooka -
