Pros
I wanted to snipe a laptop where the auction ended at a time I was going to be out of the house and away from any means to access the internet ... so I scheduled a bid 10 seconds before the end time. Got home and found that I had won the auction ... YEA! But ...
Cons
When I checked my eBay Bucks, expecting to see $7.00+ added to my total for this quarter ... I found that NOTHING was added. And when I investigated, I discovered this quotation from the eBay site:
"Some third-party automated bidding applications (sniping tools) are actually placing their bids on international sites as opposed to bidding on the US or Canadian site directly. Purchases completed by these applications do not qualify to earn eBay Bucks."
Apparently, BayGenie must NOT be placing bids on the the US or Canadian site ... who would have guessed??? -
