    "Couldn't uninstall..."

    August 20, 2011  |   By ktmartinez27

    Version: BatteryCare 0.9.8.10

    Pros

    I didn't experience any.

    Cons

It was supposedly open when I went to open it, even after restarting computer. Can not uninstall

    Summary

When I downloaded the software, it installed successfully, but when I went to open it the first time it would say that it was already running. At first, I figured it was just a screw up that i caused, but even after restarting the computer it would not open or even uninstall for that matter. Frankly, it's annoying, and a product that should not be allowed for download, especially if this is happening to more than I.

    "Installs OpenCandy Spyware - BUNK"

    August 5, 2011  |   By eltrkbrd

    Version: BatteryCare 0.9.8.10

    Pros

After wasting my downloading this and searching for a simply utility to report battery health and wear level status, I found hwinfo (freeware and portable).

    Cons

I don't install anything with opencandy! Bundled spyware FAIL.

    Summary

Don't install this crap. I downloaded the portable version of HWiNFO freeware instead. It's simple, lightweight, and self-excutable (no installation necessary).

After clicking battery, it showed me all my battery information including health status with wear level indicator.

    KISS!

"I only wish Windows onboard power manager was this cool"

    July 26, 2011  |   By willgia

    Version: BatteryCare 0.9.8.10

    Pros

increased functionality for power management, system tray icon and it can be set to replace the normal Windows battery icon, free

    Cons

Can't seem to get the program to recognize that I did a calibration per instructions provided.

    Summary

I was really just looking for an option to automatically switch the power mode from Balanced to Power Saver when I disconnected the power cord on my laptop. This program gave me that and more. :D

    "Good idea poorly implemented"

    July 6, 2011  |   By desert4000

    Version: BatteryCare 0.9.8.10

    Pros

    Good idea.

    Cons

Calibration is impossible to demand and may never occur.
Software does not detect defective battery gauge.
    Support is kind but illogical.

    Summary

'Twas a waste of time for me.

    "It's alright, could be better"

    May 23, 2011  |   By x-pinkglass

    Version: BatteryCare 0.9.8.10

    Pros

    Temperature stats is useful
    Quick navigation for battery profiles

    Cons

It gets very laggy and froze my computer once, for such a small program that's not very amusing

    Summary

I would recommend this program, you just have to be very patient.
