"Most advanced and also the most simple FTP client ever."

    January 3, 2008  |   By krystofo

    Version: BatchFTP 7.0.0.2

    Pros

The best. There is nothing like this. Well maybe there is but I can't find it. Sure you can save 'sessions' that recall X local folder and Y remote folder. But how about a 'batch' that remembers any number of specific files, regardless of local or remote folder locations--all with drag-and-drop, no fancy programming? Do you find yourself 'drilling down' frequently to get the folder you want? Or after transferring many files at once, can you 'see' clearly if any did not go through? Get BatchFTP. Takes a few minutes to get used to, because it's slightly different. Then however you may find it is the most advanced FTP method as well as the most simple. I've been a paid user since 2005. Then the update button stopped working and I thought they'd gone out of business. After trying a few other FTP's, I decided to do a Google search and was glad to find they are still active. But if not, I would have kept using it for as long as possible anyway, it's that good.

    "simple and intuitive"

    March 4, 2005  |   By JustinCollum

    Version: BatchFTP 7.0.0.2

    Pros

Great for sending locally developed sites to a remote web server. It has a couple of smart update features which are really nice.

    Cons

I wish there was a more advanced file selection feature. I typically need to select everything but *.resx etc. files and clicking each one is a pain.

    "Great tool for auto backup."

    February 27, 2005  |   By TomCrocker

    Version: BatchFTP 7.0.0.2

    Pros

I have a site which needs to be automatically updated based on added files at my local machine. I simply have setup a batch with refresh option. BatchFTP never needs any manual monitoring once it is setup. Best of all their philosophy to keep things simpler is what I am impressed with. Adding FTP server to the favorites is just like browser. You connect and you click one button to add to favorites.

Ability to change packet size to best utilize bandwidth is another good thing.

Best of all their support in answering my questions.

    Cons

I wish they had implemented PGP or SFTP for more secure data transfer.

    "A really good product"

    February 25, 2005  |   By desettle

    Version: BatchFTP 7.0.0.2

    Pros

The price is right for this FRP client. It works in either a batch or automatic download modes. It allows you to continue to search out folders while the client is downloading and the development team is very responsive to the users needs. The directory of sites are stored in XML and can be moved from computer to computer as needed.

All around the product is a great find for anyone wanting a great FTP client at a very good price. A must have.

    Cons

Every once in a while it errors out but does remember the batch list for downloading after restarting.

"Small to Medium Enterprise Programmers' Tool"

    February 14, 2005  |   By Paul J. Richardson

    Version: BatchFTP 7.0.0.2

    Pros

I have been using BatchFTP for approximately 3 years. I also have about 5 other FTP programs that I have at various times used. If you are serious about efficiency while you work, usability that doesn't demand learning for hours to save minutes, then this is the ULTIMATE tool to save you time. Migrate WEBSITES, databases, virtually anthing, via an easy to schedule interfact which DOES what it says it does, minus the FRUSTRATION.

    Cons

The biggest CON is not having this. If you are sick and tired of WS-FTP, Leech, and all the free CRAP, try something that makes your life sooooo much easier. Click, and walk away, and it works for hours by itself if need by, WITHOUT HANGING.

    "Excellent buy for the price"

    January 18, 2005  |

    Version: BatchFTP 7.0.0.2

    Summary

I had been using FREE version for quite some time. Now they came up with this commercial version. I can compare in terms of features it out passes many high cost FTP clients out today. I will definitely recommend others. I hope they don't increase the price in future. So far I am thrilled by the interface feature set offered. Right click and change file properties, batch operation scheduling and consistent operation with stability is what makes it my choice.
