"Super Fast resizing app"
Version: Batch Image Resizer 1.4.6
Pros
I was looking for an app that would resize a huge batch of images. This one fit the bill perfectly, and it was faster than the other ones I tried. I especially like how all of the options are in the main window so I don't need to navigate around through many menus to pick out how I am going to resize.
Cons
None that I'm aware of yet.
Summary
I noticed the previous reviewer had problems with an earlier version. I didn't purchase from the app store, so maybe related to that? Don't know, but my copy is working great!

"Fast but does not work reliably"
Version: Batch Image Resizer 1.4.6
Pros
It is fast and the interface is relatively intuitive.
Cons
The first time I used it to resize 9 JPEGs (circa 3.5MB) it skipped 2 and all but 1 was incredible small (55kb). It resized 1 photo correctly. I am running Lion on an i7 MBP 15 inch.
I have written to the developer. I have been using iSkySoft PhotoMagic on a MBP 17 inch and it is both quick and reliable. PhotoMagic is more expensive and all I really need is a batch image resizer. I thought Batch Image Resizer might work just as well but I was wrong.Summary
Mostly intuitive and potentially very fast if only it worked. I can resize 1 photo at a time with Batch Image Resizer but that is not the point. If the issues are not resolved then I have wasted my money.
I contacted the developer and within 24 hours we had resolved the problem. I was offered an earlier build (264) of version 1.4.6 which was emailed to me. Batch Image Resizer (BIR) now works OK and is quite fast.
Updated on Oct 26, 2011
WARNING - I originally purchased BIR from the App Store. This build (276) proved to be defective, at least it did not work for me. I suggest that if another purchaser experiences similar problems they contact the developer immediately. He responded very quickly and was keen to rectify the problem.
Updated on Oct 27, 2011This is my second update because I have been asked by the developer if I would like to modify the Star rating I initially gave to this product. I would be very happy to amend my rating and would give it 4-Stars but there appears to be no mechanism to do this. I have not given 5-Stars because I downloaded the product again from the App Store and this build particular build still does not work on my Macintoshes; one running Snow Leopard and the other running Lion. -
"Easy to use, Fast, Good for me"

Cons
I wish I could watermark.

"Does a nice job but not perfect"
Version: Batch Image Resizer 1.4.0
Pros
All options are on 1 window
can resize more than 1 fileCons
Has not many options
contains some dimention problems
Crashes when you try to change the values while resizing -
"Does Exactly what it says it does"
Version: Batch Image Resizer 1.4.0
Pros
Simple, lightweight. I don't need to open Photoshop for quick resizing and image editing. Also, making actions in photoshop takes a fair amount of time. This app it takes seconds, and it remembers all of my previous resizing settings.
Cons
I could see a better fit to box option.
Summary
If you need to resize images on the fly (like for web pages), this is the app for you.
