I really cannot write anything positive about f2ko.de batch converter because antivirus kept blocking it. I read online it is probably what they call false positive but I tried weeks ago and it still does not work! I think it is very irresponsible to go weeks with your software flagged as malicious. Imagine if I made a product and had a download link on my website. R.I.P. inbox from complaints and threats.
Has been a few weeks and antivirus till says this is virus. I think CNET would remove if it was actually malicious. Still unacceptable. I found other programs that are working just fine.
I do not recommend if lazy unmotivated developer just abandon project and does not do maintenance for many weeks.
It saved me a ton of time obfuscating a simple process that didn't require fort knox algorithms but some decent level of security. I was going down the road of rewriting some nice batch files into C# so I would be able to compile and, well, this allows me to some old but nice legacy stuff and lock it down a bit at the same time...and it's free.
A con? This thing is simple and free. I'm sure there are requirements for higher security apps but for the average programmer/scriptist that just needs a little something extra without pulling out the trusty IDE for a late night, this serves a much needed purpose. Please leave it free.
