"Nice visuals, but unlikely computer play"
Version: Backgammon Classic 7.2
Pros
Nice visuals
Cons
Played four games ... watching the computer string together an impossible series of doubled dice throws in each game!
Summary
Unless my experience was totally abnormal -- there's something not right with the single-player version!

"No Better Than the Last Version - Still Lopsided"
Version: Backgammon Classic 7.2
Pros
The graphics.
Cons
Everything except the graphics. Also no true windowed mode. Needs more board options.
Summary
Continually makes erroneous moves, leaving self open when it shouldn't. ALWAYS rolls whatever it needs to hit opponent and leaving opponent with the worst rolls. If the computer needs the roll it gets it, EVERY time. The programmer needs to learn the definition of "random" dice rolls. If the dice rolls are truly random as stated on their site then there's one or more program lines that benefits the computer 95% of the time, especially when going home. Doubles, doubles and more doubles on the way home, and once home. I've started counting them and it's freakin' amazing. I counted 7 in a row one game, but usually at least 3 going home, and then even more when taking men off the board. Random, yeah, right.
Option for small screen doesn't work as advertised.

"Horrible plus"
Version: Backgammon Classic 7.2
Pros
It's pretty.
Cons
Slow, forced moves, you can't think, it's too quite, and the most irritating thing - it managed to hit me 6 out of 7 moves in the opening when I had only 1 piece opened. Bad enough for ya'? Avoid this thing at all costs.
Summary
Bottom-line? If you like cheating games - THIS IS PERFECT FOR YOU!
