From Pavel Richter:
Babala is a simple logical game with elements of move strategy, with 200 levels. The enemy legions are arrayed on the field, and you'll have but limited moves and shots allowed in your each round, 6 or 7 tops: choose as you go, from a set of 5 maximal trade offs. Following your strokes, the enemy makes a measured advance. If he reaches you you're mugged, you lose -- the enemy can't shoot. There may be obstructions and certain rigged perils, critically situated, or remote ammunition stores that must be reached.
